The bumblebee one had me in tears
June 2 - Pink Floyd released their seventh album Obscured by Clouds on this day in 1972. The album contains their work on the soundtrack of Barbet Schroeder’s film La Vallée. The band and the film company had a falling out before the release of the album so they renamed it Obscured by Clouds, but the film company then retitled the film La Vallée (Obscured by Clouds). The album has the distinction of being the last album of the “Pre-Dark Side” era before Pink Floyd found overwhelming success with Dark Side of the Moon. In fact the Floyd recorded Obscured in the Spring of 1972 after having already introduced DSOTM in live performances.
